IMPACT

(June 2021–December 2025)

Since its founding on June 16, 2021, Collective Souls Holding Space (CSHS) has provided continuous, community-led, trauma-informed services across Albany and New York State. CSHS operates with minimal resources and high community trust, delivering violence prevention, crisis response, counseling, re-entry support, youth engagement, 

and emergency assistance. 


CSHS has reached thousands of individuals, responded to emergencies in real time, and maintained an uninterrupted presence in the community for over four consecutive years.


Individuals & Families Served

  • 4,689 children and families served through Toys for Tots (2024–2025)


  • 3,404 in the Capital District


  • Statewide reach across New York


  • 1,200+ children, youth, and adults engaged through:
    • Peace ceremonies
    • Youth summits
    • Community wellness events
    • Alternative education and outreach


  • 300+ hours of crisis accompaniment and hospital support
    • Including multi-day bedside advocacy during medical crises


  • Ongoing counseling support since 2021
    • Weekly and on-demand nontraditional counseling
    • Probation/parole-involved individuals
    • Youth, adults, and families


  • 100+ community collaborations and coordination meetings
    • Schools, correctional facilities, faith organizations, grassroots groups, and city partners
